rock... paper... scissors

last night, daddy and cale couldn’t decide who should go first for their haircuts, so cale proposes a quick-decision game of “rock-paper-scissors”. let me stop and say, i had no clue the boy even knew about the game. the fact he wanted to play in the first place was funny, but what transpired was even funnier. and now i give you play-by-play…

round one: rock… paper… scissors. show me whacha got!
kyle: rock
cale: rock (like daddy)

round two: rock… paper… scissors. show me whatcha got!
kyle: scissors
cale: scissors (again like daddy)

then the kid gets smart…

round three: rock… paper… scissors. show me whatcha got!
kyle: paper
cale: sticks his pointer finger in the air and yells “pencil!”

we all look at him, and kyle says “pencil?” cale says “yeah, so i can draw all over your paper!”

cale won.
